Linguistics clubs

Running a linguistics club

Quite a lot of schools now have a ‘linguistics club’ of some kind where pupils get together to work through UKLO problems. Successful linguistics clubs tend to be student-motivated and can take many forms, from an ‘Old English Club’ to last-minute UKLO revising sessions. If your school is near a university with a linguistics department, undergraduate or post-graduate students looking for community service opportunities make an excellent resource to help with linguistics clubs and to interest pupils in the subject.

Luke Rudge has written a guide to running linguistics clubs (revised 2019).

Please tell Luke about your  club.
